Rehearsals are on Sundays right after church, and last 30-40 minutes.

Our new director of St. Alban's Junior Choir is René Rowland, who has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Longwood College and has been for many years a full-time music teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She also did advanced studies in choral music at USC.

We plan to have the junior choir sing in church at least once a month. We hope that all of our boys and girls, grades 2 through 7, will be able to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to:

learn how to sing well
learn the basics of music
learn more about liturgy and the choir's important leadership role in it
learn beautiful anthems/hymns to perform for the glory of God
learn the meaning of the texts they are singing
learn fun songs as well
