Welcome to St. Alban's Church!
I
want to extend to you an invitation to join our community of faith.
Formed in 1931 to provide a spiritual home for the students, faculty and
staff of the “new” campus in Westwood, we are a congregation with long
roots in the UCLA campus. Today, through our programs and relationships,
we celebrate our many connections across Hilgard Avenue.
Primarily,
we are a community of spiritual companions to one another. Living out what
it means to be the Body of Christ in our time and place, we value the ways
we comfort and sustain each other. We also value the ways we help each
other grow into the persons we are called to be. And we remember that a
life lived in Christ means that we cannot find ourselves unless we are
giving
ourselves in love and service.
Each
member of our congregation is precious and each one is on a journey of
transformation. We are called by baptism to grow into the “full stature
of Christ” and through our worship, programs, and outreach, and our
relationships with one another, we are doing just that.
Come and be with us as together we
discern what the Spirit is doing in our midst. Or as St. Paul put it in
Romans, “be ye transformed by the renewal of your minds that you may live
out what is the will of God, what is good, and acceptable and perfect.”
Blessings,
The Reverend Susan W. Klein
